.45. ACP small primer recipe the same?

I accidentally bought some Federal 230 grain with the small primers. Usually I load with 5.0 grains of win 231 for 230 fmj with large primers.

Can I keep everything the same and just switch to CCI small primers?

    Thanks !

Yes, keep the same load data.
You might want to color the bottom of the cases to help you keep them separate in the future.

I curse small primer 45 brass. Some made it's way into my range pickup brass and cost me an embarrassing amount of time ****ing with the Lee primer feed and cursing all Lee employees, products and all of Richard Lee's ancestors and descendants before I figured out that it was operator error.

Folks, I appreciate all your warnings with this over the last year. Just found some of that Federal small-pistol brass and separated it out.

It's not just Federal with the small pistol primers, Winchester and CCI are also making those evil things.

Apparently the Non-Toxic (NT) primers are only available in SP size.

So all these ammo manufacturers decided to retool their 45s for SP to jump on the 'lead is evil' bandwagon. God damned pinko commie bastages. Obviously they don't care about reloaders.

I'm going to neuter every one I find so they don't breed. I found out that you can ream out the primer pocket with the Hornady LP tool. You just have to chuck it into your drill and they're singing soprano.

I'm going to stick with the LP so I'll sell the brand new fresh ammo on the For Sale sub forum.

Haven't seen the Win yet but have some CCI & Blazer.

I actually started a bag for them & now have enough for a pretty nice batch on it's own.

Good question. I just throw away small primer 45 cases.
