Has CGF given an opinion on MAGBLOCK

In order to save money I am looking at purchasing pmag kits and causing them to be California compliant by using MAGBLOCKS. The manufacturer of this product indicates that with the MAGBLOCK in place, the magazine cannot accept more than 10 rounds and is therefore legal. The CGF Wiki says that the alteration must be permanent as in "* Continuous ribbon or ribbons of welding or * A rivet fixed in place with epoxy." This would be altering the normal parts of a large capacity magazine to be permanently able to only hold 10 rounds. The MAGBLOCKS are using different parts to create a 10 round capacity magazine.

So I am interested to know what CGF thinks about this? Trying to stay out of trouble here.

Ideally, what I was hoping for was to use the magblocks in ca, and then use the normal parts out of state. Otherwise I have to keep the mags I want to use out of state, or in a kit and buy twice as many mags.

Yeah. Been through that thread a lot lately. I do not have a featureless rifle though so that thread is irrelevant to my issue. Large cap mag + bullet buttoned rifle = Aw. Thanks though.

Buy the Pmags as kits then buy the Pmag blocks and epoxy the floor plate when you install them. That will make it permanent.

Epoxy the magblock to the floor plate? Is that doable, then out of state I could use the spring with the standard floor plate with a ranger plate or something.

The aren't going to be able to serve double duty/ f you assemble them as 10 rounders they can't be made into large caps again legaly/ Then out of state you have P mgs you can legaly use/ but NOT the SAME mags without a ton oF headaches/ try taking thm apart once the epoxy hardns

The seler says they are legal/ but not if you just stuff m into a 30 rund P mag and thats it/ Im in the same boat s you in that I hav mags out of state that are regular capacitise and ones here that are 10 roud
