    Brass

Anyone know what I can do with .223 casings. I have a plastic tote half full with them. My Dad passed away and was saving these but I dont know what he did with them. Can you sell them or trade them for ammo?
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us Freedom of Press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us Freedom of Speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,
who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.

First, sorry to hear about your fathers passing. Second, you can definitly sell them. If you have Winchester or Remington mixed in there, separate those out and sell them. You may get a little more money that way than just selling them as "mixed once-fired". Brassmanbrass.com shows prices ranging from $55-65/k. I'm glad I bought 3k back when they had it for $15/k!

You just reminded me that I have something like 5K or 7K remington once fired sitting in a box in my shop that I bought 5 years ago for around $12/K.
I really need to dig that brass out and start using it...

The prices now are getting ridiculous. I remember guys selling once fired military .223 at the Great Western gunshow for $10/k. I wish I could go back...

I'll trade you towards gunsmithing work.
I drive through ontario every weekend.

It's roughly 14lbs per 1000 rounds when you go to weighing them out.
