    Loading 380 ACP

Can 9mm dies be used to load 380acp?
    Thanks,

    yes, but...

Depending on the dies, you may not be able to get all of the bell out of the case mouth.

No. The 9mm is a tapered case and the. 380 is a straight wall case.

No! Since the .380 ACP case runs form the base .374 to the neck .373. 9MM from the base runs .391 to the neck .380. As you can see there is a bit of difference there.

Definitely not the sizing die. Maybe on the expander, seating & crimp dies. You'd need a smaller shellholder too. Why not just take out the guesswork, buy the Lee carbide set. It doesn't cost a lot and works great for me.

Yep, my advice is to get the 380 dies. also, don't expand the case mouth to far - only as far as necessary to get the bullet started straight. 380 cases are really picky about expansion and over-expansion will greatly reduce the case life.
