.45 ACP W/small pistol primer

If this thread has already been talked to death please direct me to the thread that awnsers my question.
I picked up some .45 Acp brass at the range last week and finnally got around to cleaning and decapping. I ended up with around 50 cases with small primer pockets. A guy at the range mentioned to me that .45 acp was being primed with small pistol primers! Quite a surprise to him and me.
My question is, will priming these cases with a small pistol primer effect my reload recipe? I normally load copper plated bullets 230 grains and Accurate #2 5.3 grains . oal 1.260 With a "large pistol primer".

Technically SPP will go slightly slower, but not enough to notice. I load mine to the same data and they shoot fine.

There might be a small savings in the price of SPP over LPP.
I like to clean the primer pockets after cleaning the cases so I am able to find those odd balls early in the process. Guys who reload in large quanities will have lots of problems and maybe even unexpected primer detination, trying to push a LPP into a SPP pocket.

I just did some tests this morning. Same everything except the primers. The difference was 68fps between the SPP and the large ones. Around 970fps and 1040fps. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me.

I did some testing this weekend as well. SPP brass reduced my groups by 50% in my Auto, but did not affect my revolver.

i doubt a small will have any difference in velocity greater than teh mean difference in loading in various brands of brass

Crush them so they do not reproduce more of the mutated .45ACP small pistol primed brass. JMB designed them for large pistol primers.
