    .223 without gunpowder..

What happens to a round that doesn't have gunpowder in it? Will the primer alone have enough force to shoot the bullet out of the barrel? Can you tell the recoil difference when shooting a bullet with gunpowder vs without?

primer will not put through but will stick it out into chamber / barrel. Yes you can fee and hear a squib load.

A primer only squib load is normally very easy to recognize- it will be very light and will not cycle a semiauto firearm. Anytime a semi does not cycle normally you should STOP and check it out - always check the barrel for a remaining bullet.
