Situation. Once fired brass (Privi). Loaded with care to good specs 55gr. Blah blah blah. My home built AR with high end parts will fully not close the bolt on the round or if it does the round gets stuck in the chamber and creates a hard lock. Same bullet that would not feed in that gun I could literally extract from the gun and put it in my M6a3 (LWRC) and it would fire flawlessly. I'm a rookie reloader but I think I did everything right. Any advice?

Ronald Reagan once said that the most terrifying words in the English language are: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help".

Are you full length resizing or neck sizing? How are you setting your die in the press? Here's an experience I had:
setting up the press, I put the sizing die in until contact then backed off 1/4 turn, 1/8th turn, doesn't really matter. Run a bunch of otherwise perfect rounds, and 19 out of 20 will lock up a semi automatic black rifle. Run them through a bolt rifle and it's uncomfortably snug but the rounds chamber and fire.
Same scenario, land the die snugly then tighten there. All issues gone. 1/4 of a turn was way more than enough.
So how are you seating your die?Comment

I go 1/4 to 1/8 more and do what's sometimes referred to as cam-over. Just be careful with carbide dies they are very hard and can crack. Are you full length resizing or neck sizing? How are you setting your die in the press? Here's an experience I had:
