    Ballistics Android App / Database?

Anyone using an Android App / Database to store and/or calculate ballistic data of their reloads?

I found the App, "Shooter" in the Android Market...anyone here use it? It looks pretty decent, but would like to get some feedback before paying $10 for it.

the Apple store has one called "Ballistic" check and see if the Android Market has that one, I bought it ~1 year or so ago and think it was 12.99? or something like that.

    but it works.

On Android, there is an app called Strelok that looks to be decent. it is free, so your not out anything if you decide its no-good. I havent taken it to the range yet, but what it does it you put in the data (muzzle velocity, angle of shot, ballistic coefficient, temp, wind, etc.) and it will tell you where to hold the target on a specified reticle, or how many "clicks" to adjust based on your scope, and whether or not you have .125, .25, .5 moa clicks.

          Anyone try this one yet?

I've used Strelok since it's free. I can't complain. Although it's a little tough when you don't know your BC. I reload but I'm not sure how to figure out BC yet and I'm not into reloading enough to have a chronograph. I've kind of averaged out BCs and velocities to get stuff similar to my loads and the holds seem pretty on. I shot 300 yds using the suggested MIL hold-over and I was on target at 300. Group wasn't great but that was more me never shooting that far and trying it with 55gr FMJ out of a 16" AR. It is decent enough. Another cool feature is that he actually uses some real reticles so if your's is listed, like say a Nightforce NP-R2 it lists out all the yardage for the reticle given your inputs. Worth a try as it's free.

What does the ballistic one have that's worth $12?

Looks pretty impressive. I wish there was some kind of a demo you could download to see really how good it is. May have to splurge and try it out.

I was in the same boat as you with the demo thing but I tried the free ones and they were no where near what Ballistic has so I got up off my wallet and bought it.

I just wish they would give you an upgrade path to the Field Tactical Edition I am willing to put out another 10.00 but not 20.00

now that I got a load that will do sub MOA I'm going to start playing with it more.

"Shooter" is a great ballistic data app for Android.

I have had it since I had my Droid X, and it does everything it is supposed to do.

CLICK HERE to go to Seans website to purchase it.

For $10.00, you cannot go wrong.

Highly rated and reviewed by many shooter websites.

I bought the Ballistics one for the iPhone. Had a question though for someone who uses it. When I look at the trajectory card there always is a random line of red data that never fits in with set increments. Anyone know what this is? Thanks?

Are you talking about the line of data that is red on this screen shot? http://ballistic.zdziarski.com/iPad/IMG_0011.PNG

If so and you find out let me know, I have wondered about that also.

Hell I just might email the guy and ask...

Edit to add, it looks to fit on what is shown on that page but, one load that I looked at I have it set for 25yard increments but goes from 200 to 210 (this is the one that is red) then goes to 850 and I have some random yellow line just above 853. ???

well I have been playing around with it and I think I know what the yellow line is, seems to be when the bullet goes subsonic. I still don't know what the red one is ....
