    Heavy 1-9 load

Any recommendations? I picked up some 69g SMks and some 75g A-max. I plan on loading for my 1-9 RRA chrome lined unit. I am going to use BR-4 primers since that is all I have as well as H335. Anyone load either of these rounds before?

I use nothing but the 69gr SMK for my 200 and 300yd match loads.. but.. I use Varget instead.. having said that 23.5 of the H335 should be fine.. I have tried the 75gr A-max's and didn't like them.. I tried them in my Space Gun as well as my Service rifle.... They were accurate enough..but not to my standards.. at least out of my rifles... Others I shoot with have used the A-max's and really like them.. but once again we use either Varget or Vitavouri with these bullets....

The A-Max is an interesting bullet. I wonder if the rubber tip will cause issues with seating bullets.

The A-max is a single load round. You can't seat to mag length. Bullet's too long.

I like 25.3 or 25.9 grs of Varget under 69 gr SMKs

I'll save the A-max for a bot gun I am planning. I have been wanting a second 10fp but will go with 223 in this one. I am going to need to buy an action and just build it since I want a 1-8 or 9 barrel on it.

I used 24.5gr of WCC844 ( H335 ) with the Sierra 69gr. The 75 A-max I have never tried, but I do use the 75 hornady match now that the Sierras are to expensive. I load them with 24.7gr of WCC846 ( BLC-2 ) They do real good

The 75 A-Max has worked well for me in my Savage 12fv. I push them around 2850 with Varget and they stabilize fine. Not being able to load them mag length turns your repeater into a single shot, but for me its not a big deal. For mag length loads, I use the Hornady 68gr HPBT at around 2950-3000 fps with 2230-C.

I think 77gr Nosler is one of the best deal. $127/1k from Nosler's site. They perform quite similarly with 77gr SMK.

PS. Let me know if you want to order some, we can bundle our order... I am thinking about getting some .308 from them too.
