    155 palma

I picked up a box of Sierra MatchKing Bullets 30 Caliber 155 Grain Hollow Point Boat Tail Palma to test out. Anyone use these before? I also picked up a Lyman 1200 DPS 3 Digital Powder Scale and Dispenser System . Won't be here till friday though.

Check over on SnipersHide. Several people over there have tried them out with pretty good results.

Yes, I have a box of 500 155 palma sierra's. They were originally developed for the 1000yd. palma matches using long barreled bolt action rifles w/ iron match sights. Imo, they are more accurate the faster you push them and the farther you shoot distance wise. I have used IMR 4064 and Varget with them in my M1A, M1 Garand, and 1903 rifles.

I shot nothing but these in my 308 Match Garand.. only because I couldn't get anything else to group... my basic match load for this bullet in my 308 garand was 39.5gr Varget for 200 and 300yds and 42.5gr Varget for 600yds... my best at 600yds was a 191 7X

My 10FP didn't like them. It loves the 155 Amax and Scenar, but not the SMK's for some reason. No loss for me really. The Scenars have a much better BC and shoot like a dream.

I've been shooting them through an M1A for about a year. 41.0grIMR4895, LC case, Rem 9 1/2, 2.81". They go pretty quick. They group really well at 300 & 600yds and take less windage than the 168SMK.

I got my dispenser/scale today so I'm going to try and load up some 155, 175 and the rest of my 77g 223 this weekend. The scale looks pretty interesting. It has an auto repeat setting so when ever the bucket hits the platform it will dispense the last load.

I just ordered from graf and sons (man I love having that 03ffl) some lapua 155s to try out. Should be here and ready to load this weekend. I can try the palma and the sceners out and see which works better.

I set up the lyman powder scale/dispenser last night. Very easy to use and accurate. I verified every few rounds with my 505 scale and it was on the money every time. I really like the auto repeat feature. I would dispense a load and I would put it in the case and then as soon as I placed the cup back on the scale the next load would start. It would load faster then I could seat the bullet.

Best purchase yet. Throwing charges with my beam scale was so time consuming.
