    Final Online Handgun Ammo Buys?

Made your final online handgun ammo buys yet?
A number of retailers will be cutting us off in the coming days so they make the deadline...
My last purchase was a large selection of .22lr, since I can't reload it myself. Also threw in 1K each of plinker-grade .45acp and 9mm to add to the stockpile.
    How's about ya'll?

Nope. From now on if I need ammo I'll just buy it when we're out at the house in AZ, or have it shipped there when we're visiting. Hopefully, in the next couple of months, all this California nonsense will be a bad memory, quickly forgotten.

You know, I've found that Walmart has the cheapest (local) ammo. When I need factory ammo, I'll just buy from them. I really don't care if they take my fingerprint when I buy ammo.

Also, I'll be reloading most of my empties anyway.

The biggest problem I have with them is having my fingerprint, address, and other info. I worry, as others have pointed out, that it makes it a nice shopping list of houses to rob that have guns if it falls into the wrong hands.

I am not convinced that minimum wage worker at Walmart is going to dutifully protect that information.

I bought some rifle ammo from palmetto and threw them an email thanking them for the good service through out the last year.

It has been a week and my order has not shipped or even been processed (AFAIK). They never answered my email. I'm pretty sure they wiped their hands of Ca and are over us. They charged my CC so if it doesn't ship soon Ill do a charge back. Guess I spoke too soon with the "Thanks for your great customer service" email.

                        Good Point!

I changed address a year or so ago, so my DL has the old address which is qualified with the separate "brownie" change of address card. If I ever have to buy local, I will just.....

I think the last time I bought handgun ammo was at a gun show in Sac around 1982

as for .22 if they want my finger print / DL when I want to buy that in CA. I will just go to NV and get it. I have over 2K now and don't shoot it that much.

Not pistol ammo but Palmetto isn't going to sell to us anymore, so I ordered up a can of Mk 318 5.56mm this evening.

I will be making my final purchase next week just before my next pay day.

I plan on purchasing a couple of $100 dollars with of Hornady Critical Defense ammo.

I have all my reloading equipment so I can reload my target rounds. but for my everyday carry rounds I want factory good quality rounds.

anyone have a recommendation of rounds that might be just as good if not better than the Critical defense rounds and cheaper? or are they as good as it gets?
