    Wallyworld Feeding Frenzy

Was in Wallyword (aka ChinaMart) today in Milpitas and man, talk about a feeding frenzy.

AB 962 isn't about panic induced buying? Really? Think TPTB don't understand panic induced economics?

Makes me really glad I reload.

Wally World by my place doesn't carry ammo...they did for a while, but never brought it back when others did. Sad.

This is expected. All those who are buying ammo, please, consider reloading. Then you won't have to worry about whether Wally World has ammo in stock, or about AB 962's onerous requirements on law-abiders.

Thats why I started reloading. Now I don't worry about panic buying. I got all the tools and knowledge to be free of limited supplies.

A good friend of mine spent $380 on ammo at wallmart today. The good thing is I will get all his empties since he does not reload. Now I just need to get him out shooting more.

I must really prevent myself from getting caught up in this hype.

I drive to Oklahoma every year for hunting and Yuma is 2 hrs away. The free states still allow a purson to make anonymous ammo purchases.

My local store is still stocked with .40 UMC mega-packs @$70. Not sure why since everything else is pretty much wiped out... I buy a box every time I go in even though I reload since I figure someday I will take a class and some don't allow reloads.

Dang...that kind of money would get you a good ways towards a Dillon 550B.

My opinion as shooters here in Kalifornistan we should forego ONE NEW WEAPON this year and invest in a small ammo making machine for the Garage. (or apartment) Seriously it doesn't take much and it will save you
$ in the future. It's fun to make ammo.

Instead of buying $380 of ammo one could buy more than enough components that are not restricted. So far.

Everytime I go into walmart there out of pretty much all ammo. So being like everyone else when I did finally come across some I bought a case. Will be purchasing a reloading kit asap to avoid the hassle.

So I am sitting here watching the business channel, listening to all the "experts" tell me what the stock market will do next. Of course, if any of them actually knew, they would tell absolutely no one.

In any case, in the spirit of outlandish predictions, I predict revolvers will make a heady comeback as a result of AB962.

You see, more and more people are going to start picking up their brass at the range, owing to an explosion in reloading by California shooters. Soon enough, ranges will start to see their brass take slowly decline and will start enforcing their "no brass pickup" rules. Then people will start to realize, with a revolver, they get to keep their brass...

Anyone want to hear what the stock market is going to do next?

On a more serious note, but in the prediction vain. I predict someday some nut case like that guy in AZ, who also reloads his own ammo, is going to go nuts and start shooting people. Shortly thereafter, reloading is going to be added to the long list of things not allowed in CA. Better enjoy it while we can.

I think of walmart as "expensive brass"

Get it while you can, reload it after.

I'm reading the ABCs of reloading right now. But until I am fully informed I will be buying new ammo. Once I am done with the book I will be asking you fellas some questions

Um, you better buy yourself 1 rock chucker and 1 Dillon 550/650. I predict Dillon running out of stock shortly after AB962 goes into effect.
