Gunsmith in LA/OC to thread a barrel

I have been contemplating adding a muzzle brake to my Savage. I am looking at the Badger Ordanance FTE Muzzle Brake. Who in the area can thread this barrel as well as open up the hole in the brake? Website says it comes with a .22 hole and will need to be opened up and fitted by a gunsmith.

I would highly reccomend Randell to cut and tread your barrel, he has done work for me (14.5" ar15 with perm attached yhm 5c2) and my friends. He has great prices and great turn around. He specializes in AR15's but has done quite a few other guns as well. It is easier to get ahold of him over on Arfcom in the intustry section.
Some people will do skanky things for $25, and not all those people are crack whores.

I have done a couple Savage shorten/thread jobs.
I have the wrench for the barrel nut.

how much would it cost to put a break on our stock barrels Randall? Would we need to re coat the barrel so its black?

R & D Precision in Glendora. He's a great gunsmith to deal with and he's installed several of the FTE brakes.

$40 to remove and re-install the barrel.
$50 to thread or $65 to shorten and thread.
$10 extra if special thread timing is necessary to make a brake align in a specific location.

If you are bringing the whole gun, this is a walk-in service ONLY as I can't keep your rifle overnight.
Plan on at least an hour to do the work.

I have lots of different brakes to choose from on my parts page

I'm ordering the Badger FTE. Looks cool and from what I read tames a 300 win mag no problem so should calm my 308 to a trickle. Its cool because it is a clamp brake so I can take it off for cleaning.
