You only need to learn one of them.
The other is the same process, just different size cases, bullets and primers.
i say it takes like a thousand rounds to be completely familiar with the basics of reloading, and then there is prepping the rifle brass which takes a lot of time especially if your doing it in volumes. trim, debur, chamfer...these are a pain in the butt to do even with electric set ups, especially when you have alot of brass to prep.

Reloading can be as hard as you want/need to make it. As far as case prep goes, you can debur the flash hole of the primer pocket, recut the primer pocket to a uniform shape and depth, full size or neck size only, turn the neck down in thickness, sort them by weight or capacity........there are probably more things but that's what comes to mind.

I don't get that exotic myself. I size them using a drop gauge for reference. Then I trim them to minimum length. I will debur the primer flash hole. That's about the limit of my case prep. I use a Stoney Point tool to get the bullet seating depth dimension and will sometimes play with that. The same goes with the powder type as well as the charge and the primer selection.

I am not a bench rest shooter trying to get one hole groups, so my level of acceptable accuracy is pretty generous when compared to those guys. If I get better than 1 MOA of accuracy with a match bullet I'm happy. If a little tweeking drop the groups less, I make note of the loading. I reload on my Dillon 550 for the rifle calibers and am happy with the results.

Sounds like you could participate in all of the press categories, and personally account for half the presses on the blue team.

When Sheldon sold me his 650, he took about an hour or bit longer to show me some functional checks and we made a test batch of 50 rounds of 45acp. Of course he was motivated by the cash I had for him, but you could get a lot of knowledge in a couple of hours if you get get in front of somebodies press. Then read a whole reloading manual and browse topics online. After about a month of learning my press's nuances and learning about seating and OAL, I'm cranking out rounds like a pro.

I just setup a 550 on my bench last night.
Now I have a 550, 650 and two 1050's all on the same bench if anyone needs to come over and see what reloading on a dillon is all about...

how about a BBQ/open house at the shop Randall? or maybe a clinic at West End after one of your matches?

A BBQ and open house is fine, but I agree that you can't teach a whole group of people to reload.
If y'all want to come over, bar-b-que and do brass prep in the yard, that's fine.

As for actually loading, there's not room in my reloading room for more than 2-3 people at a time.
I have about 10' of counter and 4 presses bolted to it.
You can BARELY stand shoulder-shoulder with a person at each press.

The presses are currently configured as follows:

                  550: 9mm 3.9gr 231 124gr LRN
                  650: 9mm 3.8gr NM13 124gr LRN
                  1050: 45ACP ??gr 231 200gr SWC
                  1050: 223 26.4gr WC844 55gr FMJ-BT

I really need to swap the 45 1050 over to 9mm and put 308 on the 650 so the 550 can be the utility press for short runs >500 rounds.
The only reason the 550 is setup for 9mm is that I let some people I shoot with come and load their own 9mm ammo on that press.
It's the "loaner 550" that stays on my bench while I teach.
