    sizing brass

    so i just bought some NEW remington brass for my 308.

    i was wondering if i should size this brass, or is it good for the first shoot?

    shoot it to fire form. neck size it only for the rifle you shot it from. from my experience...others may differ.

        Yes.

        The die probably will not touch the body, but it will size the necks, so you have consistent neck tension.

          Depends how anal you want to be. Some resize/trim/debur flashhole/uniform primer pockets etc. Others like myself just prime(if not done already) charge with powder and seat the bullet. I end up with very accurate ammo so see little reason to do more. BUT I am not a match shooter either.
          A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.
