I would ask for the sporting goods department before asking about ammo - it's entirely possible that the person who answers the phone has no idea what they carry.

Not in the Bay Area, Manteca Walmart is selling ammo (not a large selection as of today).

Going to Walmart makes me cringe. And leaving empty handed after battling the parking lot and aisles to the sporting good department stinks on ice!
