    22 loads

Totally idiotic when it comes to reloads. I am guessing you cant reuse the casing but can you buy all new components and make your own for cheaper than what you buy it for.

It's possible to load IF you can find all the components. Ive seen primed brass for sale before. But, it would probably cost 2-3 times what bulk .22lr costs. You would need to find a source for bullets. AFAIK, there is no commercially offered, canister grade powder available which will produce the correct burn rate but, I could be wrong. Also, you would need to have custom made dies and shell holders made.

Not really for rim fire. Yes for centerfire cartridges. If you reload for centerfire you usually end up not saving any money but you do shoot more and with custom loads.

5000. Wanna split a case? I really don't know what I'd use them for but, I might come up with something someday.

I dunno, with ready to shoot .22 LR going for just about $225 for 5000 rounds, that just doesn't seem to be a really good deal all things considered.

Yea, It wouldn't be to save money. It would be more for experimenting or working up a killer target load if you can find the right powder and bullets. It might be fun to make up some BP loads using roundball projectiles. You would also need to custom make a shell holder, seating die and crimp die.

Couldn't you just cut down any 22 seating die like 223 or a 22-250

I bought a bunch of primed 22mag cases years ago, still haven't used one of them.

I think u could use the rcbs comp seater die and just screw it down with the 22 cal seater. Not sure bout powder, but i guess u can make a 40 gr lead free load.

$99/5K is about $20 per 500 or, about what loaded ammo costs. But, you can't find primed virgin rimfire brass every day. So, that's the main reason I'd be interested in aquiring some.

Im using a homemade mold. I cast about 5 bullets per drop. Should of made more if I knew I could make it. haha. I also thought about the crimping. The Lee Factory die can be used as the crimp. Just slip the 22LR case from the top instead of underneath. That should work. I also thought about using 55gr .224 bullets and seating it. shouldnt be a problem. the proglem is finding the load. But Aguila Colibri made 20gr's w/o powder and its flying in at 600fps with my cricket so...I think its doable.

I'm going to try to speak with a few powder manufactures at SHOT to see if they could recommend anything. As for using 55 grain bullets, I bet, just like the Aguila 60 grain "sniper" bullets, you'ld need a barrel made for them.
