For Tators at 200yds, I perfer the 17hmr. that will really throw them in the air. .308 at tators ,light and fast is what you want.

proraptor - a fellow exploding fruit shooter?

I like to load a batch of 110 grain hollow or soft nosed bullets - .308 load in my Speer Manual with Reloader-7 will push them about 3100-3200 fps range and remain very accurate up to 300 yard range and stay well under the maximum pressure. Very volatile load on fruit - a well know varmint loading that virtually explodes almost on contact.

do they allow fruit at inland fish and game?

WEGC allows it as long as you clean it up afterwards...
Just no glass, ie: bottles and computer monitors.

At 1:40 of the video, there are some 110 gr .308 vaporizing Soup and Minced Tomato cans - there is really nothing left of cans... Then there is a box of wine someone brought to our party... I must say, canned food bought on the cheap is more fun to blow up, even though there is a debris to clean up...
