It wouldn't hurt to have a bullet puller if you were trying to obtain the correct OAL.

That's why Lee makes the "U" die. That's why some brands of brass are larger in diameter at the base. So the bulge is sized away. A "U" die coupled with a shaved shell holder will return any 9mm case to bulgeless status.Comment

The bullet seating depth would still be the same since the seating die is set a given adjustment but when it comes to crimping you would have variations depending on the varying lenght of the brass.Comment
