    Where to find brass?

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find large quantities of once-fired brass?

I would like to increase my shooting in 2011 and I need to keep costs down. I'd also like to help some friends that shoot in my area with some brass.

    I'd be looking for: 9mm, .40, .45, .223, and .308 mainly.

My local range gets cleaned up rather quickly, plus the volume is not that great so it's a challenge to get a big supply.

I wondered if police ranges keep their brass, but if not, would the sell it to me?

    Any ideas?

I think he gets them from an LE range. But i'm not sure.

You can go to the range and ask if you get buy some brass but the thing is, you don't know how many times the brass has been fired.

          Dillon sells once-fired brass.
you're gonna have to pay something for only once fired.

Antioch Armory has a lot of Range Brass @ reasonable cost. 925-706-1442

I avoid 9mm range brass. Unless it is obviously once fired. More & more people are loading 9mm major.

I also avoid brass w/ the Glock firing pin strike mark.

          Good luck in your quest.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Why not put a wanted add in the market place. I myself have literally thousands of different brass casings that I fired, or bought as once fired from Gun shows. 9mm, .40, .45, 223, 308 maybe a few others. I don't know if I would part with them though, but I surely don't have the space for them. So maybe

What kind of quantities are you looking for? I have a pretty good supply of brass from a local police range. I generally just buy all the brass from the guy selling it to keep my price down. I mostly get 45 ACP and 223 which I use. I do get some 40 brass that I don't use, so I have some that I would get rid of. I have about 4000 nickle plated and probably another 4000 yellow brass in .40 S&W. I would sell either for $25 per k. If your looking at larger quantities, you will have to find large ranges to buy from. I have been buying 9mm for $20 per K delivered but minimum order is 10k.
