Need 95gr 9mm load
Tags: None -
I am not loading any 95gr bullets as everywhere I looked they were pretty pricey. Midway seemed to have the best prices on 9mm bullets lighter than 115gr.
My Lee book has 95gr jacketed loads for all the popular powders, any brand you favor? I will look it up and post it for ya.When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones." -
380's the same?
I only saw what they labeled ".380" in the 95gr. All the ones they had under the "9mm" rows started at 115gr.
They are the same diameter, any differences between what they label .380 and 9mm (like bullet height) or are they just being helpful? When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."Comment

Given your preferences, pull the 95gr bullets out of Comblock 9x18mm rounds
Oh, and don't listen to me. 1. I've no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to reloading. 2. 9x18 bullets are wider than 9x19 ones, I believe.DiaHero Foundation - helping people manage diabetes. Sending diabetes supplies to Ukraine now, any help is appreciated.

Guess they're just trying to help people by labeling them. You should be gtg with those bullets. With Oden on our side.Comment

I'd guess if they are wider by just a few thousandths you could run them through a sizer to swage them down for 9mm LugarComment

You can get 93 grain makarov hard cast lead bullets here for 5.8 cents each:
You should be able to size them down to the correct diameter with this:

The Montana Gold 95gr JHP's are .355, just like their 9mm JHP's. They will work just fine for 9mm, depending on what you're using them for. They are more for competition/target shooting than defense. I use .380, 9mm & 38 Super bullets for my 9x25 Dillon loads, and have had success with all of them. If you buy a case of 1000, and don't like them, I'll buy them from you.Comment

I once loaded some 88 gr HP's in a 9mm.. those ones are a bit harder to find these days.. they went bang and made nice round holes in the target just fine.. but they were consctructed for the lower velocities of the 380 in mind.. Softer lead core and lighter jackets to aid in expansion.. if you are punching paper, the paper won't know the difference.. they have to be made to go a bit faster for positive extraction from a semi though.Comment

Basically, I am building a sten with a 16" barrel and I apparently have to use a lighter bullet to prevent the receiver from getting beat up.The Montana Gold 95gr JHP's are .355, just like their 9mm JHP's.
