    surplus lead $2.30lb OC

    hey i dont cast my own bullets but i think someone might be interested in this.

    i was at schorr metals in placentia today and they had a large tub or bin full of lead plates. they were asking 2.30 a pound. dont know if this is a good deal but i think it might be.

      That seems high halon101.

      Plus if it is pure lead, it will be too soft for bullet casting. You would need to add some linotype.

        Way to high. Even Slease-Bay has it for around $1.00 a pound. This may all change once new hand gun ammo law goes in effect.

          Local to me, there's a company that sells Lyman #2 for $1.89 delivered.

              damn 1$ delivered!

              that is cheap, how do they turn a profit on that? i would think any kind of shipping would affect price.

                The sellers must get the wheel weights for free (or nearly that).
                A flat rate shipping box holds about 50 lbs and costs about $11.
