If you have a Lee reloading press please help

Hello, I'm looking for someone that has a lee reloading press. I removed the Shell holder and I'm trying to replace it with another one. There is a pin that holds the shell holder in place and I'm having trouble figuring out how to use that pin. Its called the Shell Holder Retainer Pin. If you have a lee press would you be able to shoot a small video on how you remove a shell holder and put it back in? My shell holder just spins around freely now and makes it hard to reload.

It sounds to me like you bent the retaining spring, causing it to hold the shellholder too loose. Did you remove the spring for some reason? You should not ever need to remove it - you simply pull the shell holder towards the front of the press to remove it and it will pop out.

I would bend the spring inwards a bit and put it back. Maybe that way it will get back into the right location.

yeah, just squeeze it back in it's groove so it pops back into the two pin holes and leave it alone from now on.
Why did you remove it?
Maybe when depriming, a spent primer that was lodged causied the case holder to not budge so you guessed and removed the spring?

I have no probs with mine and I had it for a few years.
It should snap in and not move around should be tight.

It does sounds like the circular retaining ring that he is talking about. If there isn't enough tension on it, just bend it back to the correct shape and slip it back on.

Erm...I know on my hand press, if the ram is too low, the shell holder won't pop out because the body puts pressure on the retaining clip. However it sounds more like, instead of just pushing the shellholder out, you pulled the retainer clip for some reason. Not sure why you'd do that, but it seems like the shellholder would be very loose if you did.

Would be helpful if we knew WHAT press you were using, as lee makes like 6.

It is a 3/4 Hole Turret press (3 hole for 9mm / 4 hole for .40)
I may have bent it causing this issue.
I did not have a manual for the press because it was given as a gift, I removed the spring/pin when I was cleaning the press.
As you can see its already dirty again it gets lots of use

I have the same press and I think that spring looks a little loose in the first picture. All you have to do is remove it, bend it closed a little, then put it back. Easy fix.
