    Wolf Primers

I see Wideners has them and Powder valley Inc will also in short order. I'm wondering if these are the same as the "Russian" primers that popped up a year or two back (good reports on them).

May have to put together an order here soon.

I think there was a fallout of sorts between Bob Jones and his Russkie distributor, which is why he no longer carries them.

These could be them, or they could be the primers Prvi uses, which could be Russian primers.

    roundy-round....

I got 5000 Wolf Small Magnum Rifle primers. Shot through about 50 of them at 200yds. I didn't have a chronograph. No function problems, no funky pressure signs or other primer related abnormalities. Zeros were the same for the same load using Hirt primers (primed surplus brass which I'm told shoots the same as a Rem primer). Accuracy was more than adequate, but I didn't shoot enough to be able to say whether the Wolf primers are better/worse than the other flavors I have.

They seem tight going into the primer pockets, but I'll need to verify that. I got a batch of LC brass, swaged and ready to go and the first time I used them was this weekend. I normally cut my primer pocket crimps out, so that may be why they feel tight.

Pretty useful report eh? Summary: looks good so far, no issues.

You're missing out on some of the best rimfire ammo for under $50 a brick.

Testify. It shoots groups like the spendier S&K and Eley flavors.

I'm pretty sure he meant to say $45 to $50 per brick of 500, not 5000...

If the Bob Jones you speak of is in Arizona, these are the same. Someone called Wolf and said the primers are from Tula, which is the same factory that makes the black box Wolf.
