    Barnes load data?

I have acquired a bunch of 55gr MPG barnes bullets but cannot find any load data for them for my .223. I use RL15, Varget, Tac, BLC2 powders. Anyone care to share load data for me? Would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the link. Really trying to find load data using my favorite powder RL15 or Varget.

Close inspection of the load data (55 MPG vs 62 TSX BT) in the links above suggests that adding one grain to the TAC max load would be about right for a Varget max load. However, this is a guesstimate, not science, so be careful. Fortunately, Barnes tends to be conservative in their load data.

You can get a good idea of max loads from 50 gr VG load data, since VG and MPG bullets have identical construction. FWIW, I use RL-15 and Varget for 50 gr VGs. I use RP cases with CCI BR-4 primers.
27.3 gr Varget produces 3265 fps from my 24" barrel AR-15
          27.5 gr RL-15 produces 3250 fps from my 24" barrel Savage 25.
These are my most accurate loads, and are within 0.5 grain of what I consider a max load.

I just used the data from another bullet the same weight and worked up my loads.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

EMAIL them directly to get load data if one of the powders you use is not listed.

They've helped me get 308, 223, 44mag and 10mm load data. 10mm data is not listed at all and they gave me a recommended starting load minus 10%.

Great customer service. They'll help you with what you need.

Are these the ones that are .95 inches long? I haven't had a chance to try hot loads with them, but I'd suggest getting them out of the barrel as fast as you can. If they are the 55gr MPG's I'm thinking of, Barnes recommends 1:9 twist for a reason, and if your bullet is slow, it's gonna be ALL OVER the place, especially if you are 1:12 range.

They are 55gr but they are as long as a 77gr smk. My barrel is 16 and twist is 1-7.
