Primers? WLP vs 350 vs 300???

So I have about 2,000 CCI magnum primers but all of my reloading data that I have from Hornady and Noslar ask for a Winchester WLP primer. What would happen if I moved over to the CCI magnum 350 primers?

You should be fine. Some load data calls for a specific brand of primer because different brands of primers can vary slightly in performance, but generally you don't have to worry about using a brand that is not consistent with your data.

Winchester only makes one large pistol primer that is good for standard and magnum loads.

I've done something similar before with small pistol primers. The general wisdom is to back off of your charge half a grain, especially if you're close to max charges, then work back up if appropriate. Take this precaution and you should be just fine.

What are you reloading - makes a big difference.

If you have a revolver, probably doesn't make too much of a difference as long as it is just for target.

If you are shooting a Deagle, then the CCI-350's are what you want.

Shooting mag guns usually requires mag primers.
