    7.62 X 25mm

Been studying up on this round lately and like what I see. Seems to be a very hot round with superior ballistics. Also, I note that surplus ammo is very inexpensively priced. Don't know anything about firearms chambered for this round. What can you Calgunners tell me about the round and firearms chambered for it? I would think that many would be C&R eligible. Is there any popular semi-auto pistol or carbine chambered for it?

I do not remember if they can be shipped here. The caliber is amazingly fast and flat. Kind of a surplus .357 Sig.

I got the TT-33 Tokarev at Turner's for $270 last year. Its a good gun.

The ammo is dirt cheap at J&G Sales right now.

They're under $0.08 per round delivered.

The only problem is that the bullets are staked in and it cracks the case mouth when fired. Therefore, they are not reloadable. However, at that price it's probably cheaper than you could do it anyway.

I have a CZ52 pistol which is chambered for that round. It has a bit of snap to it. Fun to shoot. I bought a case of S&B ammo for it as I did not want to shoot corrosive and want to reload it.

the guns that are chambered for the 7.62x25mm are TT-33 Tokarevs that were made by the former Soviet Union and a couple warsaw pact countries including Poland and Romania. There is also a Yugoslavian version called the M-57 as well.
The TT-33 and M-57 are copies of a Browning semi-auto pistol that was manufactured from the early 1900s to the early 40s. There are still a lot of Romanian and Polish models out there for sale as well as the M-57 Yugo too which just recently became C&R with the rest of the Russian, Romanian, and Polish models. Save the Russian models which have gotten quite pricey in the last few years but the Romanian, Polish, and the Yugo can be had for just under a $200.00

The other is the CZ 52 which is a totally different design but which also fires the same round.
I haven't seen too many CZ 52's for sale lately though. A couple of years ago they were everywhere it seems, but I'm sure that you could still pick one up for under $300.00 though.

There are a few carbines that fire the round as well that are produced in BATF compliant semi-auto models today too. First is a PPSH-41 that was a Russian sub-machine gun, a PPS-43 which also was produced by Russia but had a folding stock and pistol grip, and there are even some Sterling pistols and some Sten rifles that Century Arms are producing that shoot this round as well.

I own both a Cz 52 and a Yugo M-57 and I would say that one of each would not be a bad thing :-) Trigger pull on the CZ is very heavy, but my Yugo is actually a dream to shoot! very crisp trigger pull. There is a company called Harrington Arms that makes drop in trigger kits for the CZ though too.

              Hope this helps you

I am ordering the Yugo 57 next week, along with a case of the ammo, and the 9mm conversion parts. Should be interesting : )

I had a few (I would say less then 20) brass neck crack from the spam can! They still function properly in my TT. If you are worry about kaboom, throw them out. It cheap anyways!

I shoot the ones with tiny split in the neck. I doubt they are reloadable as they are highly corrosive (rust dust after 1 day). Also, most of them exhibits split brass after firing as well. At least loaded surplus ammo are still cheap.

Yea, they look to be cheaper to buy surplus then even buying the .30 bullets : )

Zfields, the M57 is a pain to get mags for unless you modify CZ-52 magazines.

That J&G price looks SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!! I will have to order myself another spam can or two.
