Removing primer crimp

Is it possible to use a deburring tool to remove primer crimp rather then using a swager?

I doubt a deburring tool will work, but here is a cheap alternative:

#2 phillips bit in a drill/press. Just try it. Also a counter sink

Gotta love old people. I picked up 5k of LC brass after a class and the "old man" (my father) knocked them all out with a Dillon Swager.

yes, but after doing about 10 this way you will have sore hands

I run into 3 or so 9MM with crimps some times when I load and use this method.

The deburring tool is on the RCBS prep center thingie. So no sore hands.

FWIW, I like the angle better on a countersink bit, done a few thousand on a wood dowel clamped upright in a vice on the drill press.

That's an understatement. It's a pretty cool tool IMHO. I don't have one, but used a buddy's more than once. It does the job, but in my opinion, not as well as doing one step at a time, by hand (although I do use a cordless drill for a lot).

unscrew a primer pocket reamer and chuck it up in a drill press, and go to town.
