    Tactical Ammunition is GTG

Rob Heller is one hell of a guy from a simple phone conversation.

I was going to place an order and a problem came up on the shipping cost. I emailed him and he called me back within 30 minutes to clear everything up. He explained there was an error in the system and fixed my problem.

So I carried on and I ordered some 9mm and .308 "match" ammo to try out. I will continue to order from him until I start reloading soon.

I'll try to post some groups on the .308 with it comes in. I'll also do a more formal review when everything comes in.
    Components used:
    Nosler 175 HPBT bullets
Loaded to 2500 fps New Winchester brass
    New production
    CCI primers
    IMR 4895 powder

I love how they actually tell what components are used in their cartridges. Most companies don't do that. So that was a big plus.

Note: I'm not being paid by him or his company. I'm solely writing this as a review on how great their customer service was. Will do ammo review when it comes in

    Other Ammunition
They offer many different types of ammunition. Everything from .22lr to .50cal.

    Stay Tuned.

Haha. I like how you copied part of my post. I don't mind. We should make a review thread of their ammo. That way there will be one place with 2 reviews for people to read. I am going to try go shooting tomorrow if I can make the time. It's been too long. I need to get out and have some fun...

Okay, I went to the range. It was below zero without the wind chill. I swear the range is 15 degrees colder than the city because of it's location. I didn't spend too much time there because of the cold. I was shooting with a brand new optic today so keep that in mind. I also forgot my allen set so I couldn't change the zero stop. I was shooting low 4.5 mils. I don't use holdovers very often so that was kind of a change of pace. As you can see, the bullets progressively raised up higher as the barrel warmed. I didn't know it would cause that drastic of a change. The photo is also upside down. If it was right side up, you could see how the temp of the barrel affected the shot. The flyer on the second photo was from when I was sighting in the new scope. It wasn't part of that group. All the shots were taken from a single bag and using my hand as the rear rest. It was not off a professional bench or something to keep it steady.

          Rifle Used: Remington 700 5R 24" .308
          Temperature: Below 0
          Shooter: Green
          Range: 100 yards
          Wind: Don't know.haha
          Elevation: 3000ft

            FYI:

Black Hills Ammunition is the sole authorized manufacturer of Mk 262, Mod 1 5.56mm 77-grain OTM ammo. Chinese copies made by other manufacturers, such as Mr. Heller's, offer an inferior approximation of the loading and sometimes imply that it is the real stuff -- some of their links have even used the words "Black Hills" etc. Let the buyer beware.
