Redding dies?

What does everyone think of Redding Dies? They are twice the cost of RCBS.

The only Redding dies I feel are better are their bushing dies, body dies and competition seating dies.

I only own one caliber of Redding dies as described above. I have about 12 sets of RCBS, one set Forester, one Hornady and 1 set of Lee. I've been happy with my RCBS dies and their customer service is tops.

If I am loading for a hunting rifle I would buy RCBS, Hornady,Lyman or other similarly priced dies. Redding makes very good dies. Buy them if you want them.

Redding dies are considered the best. Forester is up right with them but redding is much more popular. The difference is quality and perfections. Redding tolerances are much better, I love there customer service and warenty. Redding is the only thing I buy but I'm not looking to save money. I load for accuracy and consistency.

Are they worth the money, depends on what yr looking to do? Want tons of plinking loads for yr handgun... But rcbs. Want accuracy even with their lower end dies, buy redding. Use a seats wrench turning bolts, you might strip some, fight might no be just right, dont feel good in the hand, just not gonna last. Snap on or Mac, get perfection and quality, tight tolerances.... You get my point. Not everyone need snap on tools.

I have Redding, RCBS, Lee, Pacific, Hornady, Forster, Lyman and probably some others, and until you get to the special application dies, (like the Redding S type bushing dies, etc) I don't see a whole lot of difference between them.

Their Competition bushing dies are awesome!

Full Length Bushing die and Comp Seater. Worth every dollar. I check concentricity and it's rare to see anything over .001".

They make excellent dies. If you are reloading for the 7.5Swiss they are the dies to buy. If you are into super comp shooting they are a great choice. If you are loading less serious target shooting or hunting or plinking ammo then RCBS/Hornady/Lyman dies are just fine. You can load some super accurate ammo with them also. I dislike the lee dies as they have non-locking locking rings and buy the time you buy other true locking rings thsy cost about the same as RCBS/Hornady/Lyman dies. The lee also does not have the warr that the others have.

Learned a long time ago regarding dies... Buy Once, Cry Once! Redding is worth every pennie... 80% of my dies are Redding, this is weeding through all of the RCBS dies I had before.. selling the RCBS and replacing it with Redding... I also own one set of Hornady and they are also excellent dies.
