so im taking trig right now and i also happen to be just starting my reloading career. can someone please splain to me the significance of secant and tangent ogives? is there a sine and cosine ogive? can i call a tangent ogive bullet a sin/cos ogive bullet just to be a pain in the ***?

look kid, I been at this a lot longer than you have, so don't try to school me on what bullet works in what or what constitutes a secant/tangent ogive...

I don't know what your problem is old man. I'm not trying to school you on anything, I was responding to the OP. What constitutes an ogives geometry is set in stone, it's not what I say or you say, so I don't really get what you're getting at here. I'm sorry you're mad I passed your little quiz.

No matter what you say, some guns will like bullet A, and some guns will like bullets B. If your guns shoot Sierra's best, shoot them. If they shoot Hornady's best, shoot them. Either way, I'm going to shoot what my rifle likes, not what some dude on the internet said was better because he's heard of more people winning matches with it.

really like the Nosler 69 grain custom competitions.

When I shot the 69 grain Sierras I shot the Nosler 69 grain custom competitions too and they were excellent too. Same as Sierras.

I use a 69gr SMK, CCI 400 and 26gr of Varget in my 700 LTR w/ 1:9 factory barrel. Groups are sub MOA and it works on coyotes.

For awhile the 77 grain nosler replaced the 77 SMK for military loadings. They look and shoot the same, there's really no reason to go one over the other - whichever you can get for less is the correct one, use the money you save to spend more time at the range.
