    Who has .50 BMG?

What is it costing to shoot per round? US surplus or any Korean or IMI for sale in the state?

    Cheers

Right now you're going to pay for any .50 ammo that you buy from a dealer due in part to Talon screwing up and going under.

Hornady seems to think they can make AMAX (projo's) whenever they feel like it and raise the prices at the same time. AMAX are now running about $1.65 each not including shipping. So if you throw in powder, primer and case you're looking at about $3.50 if you load them. If you load surplus stuff you're looking at about $2 each, the price goes down as the cost of brass isn't needed after the first loading. Depending on where you buy brass and what you buy, you can figure any where from .65-$1.75 each.

You won't find any IMI (TZZ) or Korean (PSD) right now unless it comes from a private stock. You can find CBC (Brazilian) in their own loading and in Barrett's new ammo. It's NOT the same as Barrett uses a heavier bullet then the regular CBC stuff. TTI Armory and The Hunting Shack (HSM) hand load their ammo along with AAA-Ammo. They do load surplus components up for plinking if that's what you need. There are other companies out there that do sell loaded ammo made from surplus.

If you are interested in some Talon .50 ball loaded with new brass and new 690 gr projectiles (not pull down), drop me a PM. Cost is $425/150 rnds. Ammo is in SF Bay Area

Compare those prices to the current market for ball.

F*** T-Bird ammo!!! They will NOT sell any .50 BMG stuff to use here in Kali, doesn't matter if the ammo is legal they won't do it. Don't give your money to them, give it to another company that will sell us legal products!

I only need 10 rounds max. Hunter

            Thanks for the offer.

I did find a partial box of 85 Talon ball that works out at $4 a shot. I will take my free ride on the Barrett and post the rest for the board members. Or take it to the range and see if anyone wants it.

I pick it up today so I might make Metcalf in Santa Clara if I can find the guy with the rifle. this will be a one time opertunity and don't see me doing it again.

            Thanks again.

So did you just want to shoot a .50? If you're not busy tomorrow come down to Angeles Range and shoot.

I saw some up at Miwall, no idea what manufacture and I think it was 3-4$ a round.

Ah heck, if all you wanted to do was put 10 rnds down range at Metcalf, I would have sold you 10 rnds from my stash and let you choose your platform from my stable. It's always a pleasure to bring a new convert into the .50 cal fold!

If you ever get down south, there are many 50 shooters who would enjoy GIVING you a round or two to shoot through their gun(s). Even my 13 year old insisted that I offer this lady a chance to shoot my new ALS just to see her "50 grin."
