    Noob considering reloading (request advice)

I've never reloaded, however am getting tired of spending the ever-increasing ammo premiums, and the idea of reloading my own ammo has always been appealing/intriguing to me. So, I'm now considering investing in the equipment and giving it a go. Ammo that I would be reloading would be NATO .308 (for my M1 Garand), .223 for CA legal AR, 7.62x39 for CA legal SKS and AK pattern rifles, and maybe 9mm or .45 for hand guns.

My questions for the seasoned reloading vets out there are: 1) which presses (or complete kits) would work best/be the easiest to work with for a beginning reloader like me; 2) which reloading manual should I get; and 3) what other advice (if any) would you offer to a complete noob interested in starting reloading.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I found "Modern Reloading" by Richard Lee to be very informative when I started reloading. For starting out, I would stick with a simple sigle stage press (RCBS/Lee). If you decide that you like reloading and you are reloading alot of shells, you may want to move up to a progressive press later.

I went with a RCBS Supreme press (this place has the lowest price I've seen and good service):

A lot of people here like the Dillon, personally I am glad I went with the single stage. I may consider a progressive if I end up reloading a lot of pistol rounds.

As far as reloading manual I like the Lyman the best of the ones I got.
