    Shot shell reloader

I'm ready to purchase a reloading machine for shotgun shells . My focus is on 12 ga for trap and skeet. The lee Load all is clearly the cheapest I've seen and then there is the Mec Jr. I know alot of guys will say skip that single stage stuff and jump into the turret press, I'm not in a real hurry and need to keep $ within a very tight budgit. I am concerned about resizing the brass/steel on the depriming process. Do the cheaper presses address this?

The Lee Load All does. It uses a steel ring that you insert the shell in and re-sizes the brass/steel when you do the decapping. Then the steel ring is removed when you go to the priming stage. Lee Load All is decent for someone on a tight budget.

Eventually when funds permit, go with Mec 600 Jr. I've heard many "positives" from owners of the press.

I have the Lee but since I do not shoot trap or skeet, it's used mainly for loading practice buckshots for my HD shotgun. I can't complain since it's purchased used for $37 including shipping.

The MEC jr is a very good press. You can usually find used ones in good condition for decent prices. I've done thousands of loads on mine.
I looked at the Lee presses when I first started and decided on the MEC even though it was more expensive.

Check this out if you are close by to him. (I don't know him but just saw this post.) http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=356057

I would consider the MEC Sizemaster. It provides two key features. One is it provides brass resizing. Second, it provides a primer feeder. Both will be desired after using the press for a while, especially if you want to load any volume.

you can find MEC Jr. all the time used for $30 -$60, if later you find it too slow get something that is faster, but keep the Jr. as you can set it up for loads you don't use that much of..
My Jr is set up for 1 1/8 load and I have a PW that is setup for 7/8oz loads (I shot mostly 7/8 for trap and skeet) so the MEC is sitting under the bench most of the time.

A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

I would get a MEC Jr. or Sizemaster. If you want a very inexpensive 12g press, look at the LEE Load All Jr. http://westernfirearms.com.au/reload...ga-p-1177.html

This is not a Lee Load All II!!!!! But, it's a lot cheaper, smaller and simpler to use. It's the first press I ever loaded on and it worked. Seriously, just get a MEC!

I use a Lee Load All for doing up my quail n chukar loads. It works just fine and the price was right. If you get one though watch your fingers, real easy to smash em with this press.
