So just to get something clear, is Miwall ammo made from casings used from other companies, but are loaded themselves? I mean the ones they sell in the ammo cans at the shows. Any input please.

what's with Miwall ammo?

It depends. If they're sold as reloads, they are loaded by Miwall using miscellaneous cases.
If it's factory new, sometimes it's bulk ammo from a major manufacturer like Winchester.
I bought 500 rds of new bulk ammo (loose in ammo cans) from them a few months back based on the fact that the cases were new Winchester with annealing coloration and sealed primers like those on new Q3131. When I got home I sacrificed a round--pulled it apart and found that the neck had sealant, the projectiles looked a lot like the 55 gr Winchester reloading components and the powder looks a lot like the powder in Q3131.
This all leads me to believe that Miwall will buy ammo in bulk from manufacturers. Possibly contract overruns.Originally posted by ChrisTKHarrisThat is one of the most idiotic statements I've heard. You are a retard. -

Several friend of mine buy and shoot Miwalls 55 gr .223 reloads as plinking ammo with no problems.Originally posted by ChrisTKHarrisThat is one of the most idiotic statements I've heard. You are a retard.Comment

All i buy is midwall and swear by it. For the price of 500 .357 brass i can get a free bullet too. They have been fine for re-loading and i have only seen one round in the many i have bought that looked physically defective. "It was loaded backwards". It is not a hot load by any means which is good if you want to reload it because it will have more leggs. I've bought their, 9, .357, .40, .44, and .308. I have no experence with their .223 relaods however.

Miwall has an annual Father's Day warehouse sale. You can go to their Grass Valley, CA warehouse and buy any of the stuff they sell in person. Same prices as at the gun shows or online, but you pay CA sales tax and no shipping charges.

Been using Miwall for about 15 years. Good stuff.
Their new stuff, as stated, appears to be factory overruns. Their reload stuff tends to be on the wimpy side, but for plinking it's hard to argue with.
Outdoor Marksmen has provided good service since they took over internet sales for them. I have no complaints.- Jeff
