I'd rather shoot CCI than Russian.

Russian stuff, although good ammo, usually has steel cases. Think about that in regards to wear and tear on your handgun. I have, however, shot lots of Russian stuff thru semi-auto Rugers, without appreciable wear....so far. Rare failure to fire. Aluminum cases sound better, but its more bang for the buck that we all want. Unless you reload your brass, it'll cost $$$. Ck out Miwall, up in Grass Valley (google it maybe) or their retailers. Good deals on either, plus their own reloads. (which are excellent, and less pricer than Black Hills) They have annual sidewalk sales also, but the line to get to all their booths is longer than the first opening of Star Wars was.

CCI over the foreign stuff is probably the better way to go. as shtr45acp pointed out Steel cases will only wear your firearm faster. Also not sure if it'd be a concern for you, but I know the indoor ranges near me don't allow any of the various brands(I'm pretty sure it's all the same stuff in different boxes) of russian ammo. Due to numerous hangfire incidents.

              You're right, that's not bad.

For the future, also note that there's a "Blazer Brass" line which, being brass cased, is fully reloadable. That's what Wal-Mart used to carry until they switched to Federal (also excellent ammo).
