Liquid Alox (Lee's or LsStuff's) for everything I do. Great results so far.

Hey, do you have to use Lee bullet molds with the "tumble lube" profile (bunch of little grooves instead of a large lube grove) if you use the "Lee liquid Alox" stuff?

If you use the Lee Alox stuff, can you use it on bullets with the normal lube groove, or only on Lee "tumble lube" profile bullets?

i used it on some regular bullets and didnt notice any problems

dont know how many bullets ive recovered where the lube grooves are still packed with wax i think those grooves are lube wasters

but i only fire my stuff out of 5 inch barrels maybe that extra lube helps out when in a rifle length

50% white lithium grease 50% beeswax add crayon for whatever color you want. Poor it in the correct inside diameter steel pluming pipe if you want a stick form. Thread a cap that screws onto the end of the pipe and tap it. Using a long bolt and, a washer as the plunger, you can screw the bolt into the center of the taped cap and put comes your lube in stick form.

I forgot to mention, for the hollow hole in the middle of the stick, use that same bolt screwed flush onto the cap before pouring.

I've had really good luck with Jake's http://www.jakesproducts.com/index.html for the last several years. I have'nt looked on ebay for a few years but, it used to be a lot cheaper there than ordering from their website. I think my last order was for 20 or 40 sticks.

CSACONNONEER ? Jake's look like what I am looking for, thanks for the link. I have been using the RCBS green bullet lube and it works really good but at $5.99 a stick it is to expensive. Thinking of trying the Jake's Moly or purple. Been casting mostly 45ACP 200gr WC & 230gr RN, 40S&W 170gr, and 9Mm 147gr.

Although Jake's website says that their "red" is for faster, gas checked bullets, I really like it on 200gr .45 SWCs out of my H&G 8 cav mold loaded light. I don't get any lead fouling at all! It does need to be heated. I use a midway heater under my Star lubesizer and it works great!
