    A.R.M.S #50M Installation

I just got my rail system and I'm going to install them tomorrow noon. I have the right tools and vice but before I do attempt my first installation with help, I should consult the brains of calguns.

The rail came with a piece of paper and a type instruction on install it but gave no pictures of how. Does anybody know the exact way?

Do I have to take off my flat top rails or front sight. I'm pretty sure the delta rings have to go but other then that I'm lost.

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    ShawnyTeEe

Never used a 50M but do have a 51. Is the SIR a 2 piece mount (top and bottom half)? If so should be able to put it on without removing your front sight base.

Remove handguard, cut off delta ring, bolt on SIR top half. Attach bottom half and all set.

Double check before cutting off anything.

    Regards
    Steve

      O cut the delta ring?

So theres no need for a vice and torque wrench to remove it?

I know if I where to use the instruction of the forums . build your on lower . Ill probably have to remove the front sight to remove the rings.

I'll see what I can do to cut off the ring but what did you use?

      Thanks,
      Shawn TeEe

If you do not plan on putting on the standard handguards again. Most will just use a dremel with a cutting disk to cut thru the delta ring and pull everything off. Just go slow and be careful not to cut yourself or anything of importance on the upper.

          Dude..... Look here: http://www.armsmounts.com/sirSystem.html

You'll need either a hacksaw blade or a Dremel to remove the delta ring and a pair of pliers to yank the springs.

If that doesn't get you through, PM me.
