    Scales

PACT BBK 2 Electronic Powder Scale 750 Grain Capacity 110 Volt. Has anyone used this scale? Midway has it at a good? price.

I have the Pact 1500 gr model.. actually I am on my second one.. My first one lasted about 15 years... I believe that too will be a pretty good scale and does well for what you need it for.

I have had nothing but problems with my PACT BBKII scale, but I understand that most/many electronic scales have some of the same issues.

Flourescent lighting, cell phones, wireless phones, dirty power are among the issues that my PACT has. Plus it takes a looooong time to warm up. I tried leaving it on, but it simply never stops fluctuating from a number to 'test' the entire time it's on.....for days!

Calling the factory, I had NO LUCK getting much satisfaction from them. Pretty much "You're on your own." attitude.

This scale is about 8-9 years old and I have never truly trusted it due to these issues. I use a beam scale and very rarely use the PACT, maybe to cross verify after it warmed up and I have recalibrated for the upteenth time.

I DO NOT recommend PACT at all!

I've never use a PACT myself (very happy with my Lyman) but I have read in other posts and forums about bad experiences with PACT digital scales.. so I would agree with Revoman.
