Home made shell/ brass sorter?

I really like the idea behind the shell sorter system but it seems it could be made relatively easily with cheaper components...

Anyone ever make any type of this with already owned materials?

I've read a few posts like this, and the intricate cuts to do so are not really attainable for the regular guy. And the ones that were home-made, were a lot heavier than the thin plastic ones.

Now...there are "other styles" of shell sorters which you can make, but they will require more room, and a bit more mechanical aptitude.

Yeah after watching your videos(great btw) its pretty much worth it to just buy the shell sorter system...maybe we can get a calguns discount lol

I'll just stick to the ol' fashioned method. Though some people find brass sorting not so pleasant, I find it relaxing.

I have a spare set of the Shell Sorter System, does not include the .380 plate Let me know, we can meet on my side of the Benicia bridge if you want them. I will give you a better price, have them up for $40 right now.

There is a guy that is on several other gun forums who goes by jmorris who has made one and it is pretty nice. He has posted photos and videos of it on the brian enos forum before. You might be able to find it If you go there and search.

I bought one of those nested 5 gal bucket sets and discovered that if you shoot lot's of big calibers it's just a waste of time. Damn 41s get caught in the 44s, 44s get caught in the 45s, 45s get caught in the 50s..... 10mm gets stuck in everything.
