need help with ruger 22/45 mk.lll

started to disassemble my pistol for the first time today.Removed the mainspring housing and realized I did not have enough time to finish the job,so I put the mainspring back in.I must have missed a sequence because now I can't get the mainspring out.Now I can barely get the mag. in and the trigger wont fire.Any ideas?
