It is just so much cheaper then the rest, that is what had me going The RCBS kit has pretty close to the same stuff in it and runs around $250. The Lee kit is $75 with my FFL at Grafs.
I dont want the challenger press as I hear its kind of crappy....I want the cast iron classic press as I hear its bombproof.....Very strong.....I also hear the linkage is silky smooth on this one

I think I will go with the Rock chucker kit. Thanks for all the help. Rock chucker master kit and a tumbler. Anything else besides dies? What are a set of recommended dies for 223 and 308?

Well, without looking at the Rock Chucker kit, I believe it's missing the trimmer, so you'll need to figure that out.

As far as other stuff besides dies, you'll want the shellholders for your press (and trimmer).

Get the Redding basic die set. I highly recommend the micrometer seater for .223 since you'll probably be shooting a lot of different bullets. Same for .308 if you do the same. I have the Redding competition seater, but the Forster is cheaper and argueably just as good if not better.

Do those single stage presses work with Hornady's LockNLoad die? (first, i don't know anything about single stage presses, I'm a Dillon guy)

Seemingly, if you can interchange die with ease, that's a VERY good thing for loading seem batches of rifle rounds.... will LNL give you that?

Hornady Lock n Load bushing adapters are available for RCBS presses. I have one on my Rock Chucker. I've been using it for a long time.

There isn't a Lock-n-Load die. You have to put a Lock-n-load bushing on your die so it uses the quick release Lock-n-Load bushing on the press. Hornady's presses are already set for Lock-n-Load bushings. Obviously, you have to get the adapter if you don't have a Hornady press.

+1 on Redding dies. Switched over to Redding die sets and sold the rest off.

Buy the redding completion seater from midway. I belief its about $60 + shipping. Worth its weight in gold.

Looks like a good choice if you read the user reviews over on Midway. Just about everybody who's used the product and provided input gave it 5 stars.

I was just on another forum, and was cruising the "Reloading" section, and this was one guy's opinion about the Lee Classic Cast vs. Rockchucker:

Get the Classic Cast, you'll be glad you did. Like the Rockchuker, it's made of Cast Iron and steel. It's ram is a little larger and it has a perfect system for disposing of primers so you never have to empty a tray. It's clearance is higher than the standard RC and many people use for loading the 50 BMG. It comes with both large and small priming ability, but also has the ability to add a priming option in which you never need to touch one.

Having had both, I think the Classic wins - I can't verifiy it, but I heard the Classic is made of recycled railroad track steel. The RC was and is a great press, but the Classic is an improved version of it. Lastly - it's about half the cost.

From everything I read the Lee Press is impressive. I chose to go with the Rock Chucker because of the warranty. Life is much longer then 2 years.
