    Using the Dillon

For those of you that use the Dillon presses, at what point do you trim the brass if reloading for rifle. I ve watched a lot of demonstrations on Youtube and I dont see anybody preping brass. Ive got my rockchucker and for me after I resize and deprime, incomes the triming and such. Do you have to do that on the Dillon or do they have special dies that skips that step. Just curious......thanks.

    Well check out Randall's
    sticky

Plus did you see Raymond's awesome video series?

I don't have the fancy electric trimmer so I use the possom hollow trimmer with drill attachment and do it by hand. Takes a while but does the job.

I reload rifle in 2 phases. Prep and load. The electric trimmer is at station 3. Check out the reloading in mass sticky.

I follow a process like Raymond's excellent videos except I use a 1050. I trim each case after watching a friend shoot his AR in several 3 gun matches. He did not trim his cases and I saw several failures such as case head separations, failure to completely chamber & etc. He just bought a Dillon trimmer.

I resize (full length), swage and trim first like Raymond.

            Thanks, guys.

Glad to see the vids are helping shooters out.

They are not the "end all" of .223 reloading...but just one way of doing so.

The videos are intended for folks just like the OP.
