Anyone have any experience with Quinetics Self-Adjusting Shell holder?

I've spotted one in a used bin, but I think it's missing an O-ring for creating chuck tension.

It's got a standard base on it and fits any standard press. Has a large primer hole so it can deprime any size.

The main issue I see with it is since it's Large only, I can't use the universal priming arm on my rockchucker if i'm priming small primers.

It looks fairly durable, and it looks like it would actually get a shell deeper into a sizing die than my RCBS holders, which would be a nice plus.

Anyone got any experience to back or refute this? I'm interested because I might be able to get one for a couple bucks, and have it fixed for next to nothing.

Ok, I found a thread on the FiringLine forum and I think the shellholder works on the case pulling up on it to lock it in place.....but the thread mentioned some issues...

"I bought it a couple years ago thinking that it would be perfect for decapping range finds and to replace the shellholders I had already. It works good for decapping but larger cases (45 auto/30-06 etc) are sorta a pain to get out of the collet thing that adjusts to hold the cases.

I tried F/L sizing some 30 Carbine using it but the jaws kept slipping off the rim leaving the case in the die. I found that I had to hold down on the Shellholder to keep the jaws from slipping. To much of a P.I.T.A.!!! I just use it for range picks and some crimping now and then.

I think it was around $15-$19 at the time. It's a good idea but the collet needs to be refined a little to work better."

I have one, but the "o" ring needs replacing - I have not found it too useful as it is sensitine to the tension of the o ring to release the case - I am also not sure the "deck heigth" is the same as regular shellholders.
