Depends on whether it's Ranger or Ranger Talon. The standard Ranger is just another hollow point. The Ranger Talon is the one with the claws. The PDX is a Ranger Talon bonded bullet that penetrates 20% deeper and does not uleash the claws cuz they be bonded to the lead.Comment

I just saw these ammo at Turners yesterday and they are just the standard type JHP not the talon SXT type.
Likewise, I noticed the every case had a "Z" on it and wondered what that meant?
Does anyone know if this makes good for a Personal Defense load? is 135gr just too light of a bullet for it to fully expand?Comment

Generally, lighter = faster, more expansion, less penetration.
Bullet design has as much to do with performance as weight. I like the 165gr SXT in my .40s&w bedside gun.Comment

I got three boxes of this at Turner's for $17.99 each, then at the Ontario Gun show I got a box of Lawman for $15 which was a HUGE hollow point, guaranteed to expand, really awesome stuff!"If Jesus had a gun he would be alive today"-Homer SimpsonComment

IMO $17.98 for the Winchester Ranger JHP 135gr, I think thats not a bad priceWished it was a little heavier though, but not bad and Im sure it'll get the job done.
