I made one that attaches to my picatinny rail, more a deflector than a catcher... but it works great. I just leave a tupperware container underneath the rifle to catch all the brass.
It's made from coat hanger wire and mesh material... so it's very light and see thru.

        Any solutions for the pistol?

I spend more time looking at the floor at my range than shooting haha

I made my own brass catcher for my AR out of thick cardboard.

Now with pistol, either Midway or Natchez I believe sells the wire with mesh net attached by Velcro on your wrist.

I hate loosing brass too. After all that effort in reloading the brass, I get attached to it.

I don't have a brass catcher, but I'll open up my box of ammo and swipe a red marker along the bottoms of the cases (across the primers) so that I can tell WHICH brass is mine. I used to swipe them everytime I had a new reloaded box, so I could tell how many times I reloaded them, but I have a tumbler now and the marks fade.

However the mark makes it easy to prevent your other brass grabbing friends leave your brass to you!

When you go to the range, ask for the lane on the far right. That way it hits the wall, and you know it's your stuff.

Also ask the other shooters around you if they handload, and if they are picking up their brass. If not...then tell them you are picking-up your brass. You will be surprised how many will pick it up for you, just to be cool.
