Winchester Super Target Gunpowder

My Brother in Michigan uses WST for a lot of pistol loads. He says it is super clean burning powder.

Anyone else have experience with Winchester Super Target?

Just ordered 8lbs. after trying it out in 45. I load 4.3 gr. over 200gr. LSWC @ 1.230 OAL. Low recoil, very clean load. Heard its very good for 40 lite, and I,ll be trying that next.Was using 231 and the WST is much cleaner.

Love it.

Using it for 38Spl target loads in place of the classic 2.7gr of Bullseye. Burns waaay cleaner than BE, and is more accurate (Ransom rested at 50yd.)

Also using it for 45ACP 200gr LSWC loads, replacing my good 'ol 231 load.

If you are into action shooting, the clean burning may have some appeal (though I would think that low/no smoke would be much more important).
So far, it has been an accuracy dud in 9mm, 38Super, .38 Special Wadcutter, .40 Lite, and .45ACP in my guns.

Works like a champ in my 45. I belive I load 4.5 or so with a 230 RN.

Bear Creek 200gr HBRN, 5.0 gr WST, WLP and 1.250 OAL

works good for me and all my 1911s.

Clean burning and some smoking, as for accuracy, i can't tell if it's me or the rounds.

May I know how many grains did you use for the 45ACP and what kind of bullets (RN, Wadcutter...) I've looked around and haven't found anything about it, can you please help me?

Lots of NRA Bullseye shooters use WST as their powder of choice. It performs the same (almost the same powder) as the Hodgon Titegroup.

4.1grains for 200lwsc works for me at 25 yards. I haven't tested it at 50 yards yet. I seat the bullet so there is only 1/32" shoulder showing above the case mouth.
