    10mm Brass at Scharch

    1000pcs for $65 / 500 for $35 found HERE

It is being sold "as is" and looks to have been fired out of an HK (or similar), based on the flute markings and ding in the side. I expect it will reload for plinking rounds just fine and comes at a price that I won't cry if I lose a few in the weeds.

I've never ordered from these folks before, but I placed an order yesterday and got my email today that my order has been processed and should ship in the next two days.

I'll try to remember and post a review when I load some up for my G20, but thought I'd share the link now for any other 10mm shooters out there looking for (relatively) cheap brass.

They also had what looked like decent pricing and availability on other brass.

Scharch is a good company to deal with. I used to buy 1000 223 case fully prepped for something like $34.00 or so. Never been burned by them!

Dillon was selling this type of brass a couple of years ago. I bought some without understanding what a fluted chamber was..... I sent it back. I bought new Starline. I like my fingers.

What is this 10mm MP5 you speak of? Is their a common man version of this to be had? If so this is a must have on my x-mas list.

Got mine today, the fluted chamber marks are not visible on most of the cases(95% unmarked in any way). The few that have marks are mostly stains that disappeared when sizing, nothing like what you would see in a hk rifle. Its a great deal, only downside was a few small pistol primed cases that had crimped primers. Shipment took less that 5 days to Calif.

Thanks for the headsup I ordered some and received it yesterday. It does look pretty good overall.
I also ordered some 10mm starrfire this week from starfire. It showed backordered until next month, but suprised me today with 1000 new shells. Looks like I will be busy with my new reloading hobby.

I bought some too. I got about 88 pc of FC NT (small primer) in a 1k batch and some 40 cal and 9mm. Over all it's a good deal for plinking brass at 6.5 cents each.

Yup, got my order last week.

I tumbled it over the weekend and most of it cleaned up well, though some is looking particularly tarnished and may get tossed if it won't polish out better the second time through.

I too noticed the NT brass, though I think my percentages are a bit lower from the spot check I did (maybe 1 in 20, of 60 I checked). Just enough that I'll need to look at the headstamp for each one before I start reloading.

The fluting is definately more pronounced on some of the brass than on others.

Ah well, this is in pretty decent shape for unsorted range brass. I should get a chance to shoot some of it in the coming weeks.

I tumbled for 8 hours in corn + nufinish and some of it is still black/brown tarnished. Most of it polished up nicely and most you can't see the flute marks. I'm sure after its loaded and shot out and retumbled it'll all look like regular brass.

I've read some posts that a few hour soak in vinegar (or ketchup or hot sauce) will help get rid of the tarnish. Followed by a fresh water rinse (preferably hot water) then a tumble to polish up. I'm going to give it a try.

Regardless if it has a blazing shine or tarnished it's still shootable brass as long as its not corroded, pitted and/or split.

Note: There was 25 or so in my batch that were split. Some were HUGE cracks and some were hairline 1mm sized split in the body. Make sure to inspect very closely for split cases and toss out the bad ones.
