Went by Sportsman in Rocklin, Rancho Guns and Discount Shooters supply in Roseville yesterday and they all have Varget in 1 lbs bottles, but all were out of the 8 lbs.

Stopped by Bass Pro shops in Manteca on the way home today and was told they didn't have any and the guy I talked to said they don't usually carry 8 lbs jugs.
PowerValley order soon I guess.

Tried varget and its a good powder but XBR is a phenomenal powder.

Twinspool is right. XBR is crap. I was wrong, I really had loaded 748 in my 77 gr SMK's.
I was only getting a 5" group at 100 with the XBR. With 748 I was getting 1/4" groups at 100 and 1" at 300 yds. Don't buy the XBR, meters like oatmeal, very temperature sensitive, dirty, fowls up your bolt and carrier, have to clean your rifle after 10 rounds.
Will burn your barrel up in only 500 rounds, FPS varies wildly. UTTER CRAP.
