    Removing case head burrs

I've recently begun reloading and have loaded almost 500 .45acp rounds so far. One issue I've been having with the .45 brass is that it is rather common for cartridges to hang up in the case gage at the rim of the case head because of burrs from the extractor. I have been filing the burrs with a small jewelers file and the cartridges usually slip in and out of the case gage smoothly afterwards, but it is rather time consuming. I have been checking every round in the case gage after I reload it.

One thing I noticed with some commercially reloaded rounds that I bought previously is that they all fit in the case gage smoothly and they don't have burrs. I know commercial reloaders don't have the time to hand file every burr for all the rounds they produce, so I was wondering what everyone else does to get rid of the burrs on the case heads?

What is the easiest and fastest method to get rid of case head burrs?

    Thanks

Take the barrel out of your gun and us it as the case gage. Yes when i was a new reloader a few light years ago checked each and every round, now I just spot check them. Try rotating the cartridge 180 and drop in the case gage, the file is the only way.
